Welcome State Leaders to Johnson County!

We were pleased to host both the Lieutenant Governor, Mike Kehoe, as well as Treasurer, Scott Fitzpatrick at the Garden of Eden home of Dan and Toni Houx.  The fundraiser was hosted by several couples.  The Missouri Cattlemen were on hand to provide a wonderful steak dinner as folks socialized with our elected officials.  The Central Committee appreciates the leaders in our community who make fundraisers possible and to our elected for making it a priority to visit Johnson County.

Both spoke about the work they are doing to continue to optimize Missouri families lives through returning dollars to Missouri families as well as advocating for veterans and seniors.

If you wish to be a part of events to host conservatives from across the state, please contact us to get activated and acquainted with us!

Johnson County Welcomes Josh Hawley

Johnson County had the privilege to host Senate Candidate, Josh Hawley last week.  We not only had a great turnout but provided encouragement to his team as they toured throughout the state and learned more about his campaign.

You can learn more about Josh Hawley at: Josh

The race is highly contentious but certainly a great voter turnout in Missouri will put him over the edge: REAL CLEAR POLITICS

While we wish we had more signs to provide, we can share the information about this clear choice we have in saying ‘no’ to Claire McCaskill’s willful distortion of her true mission in Washington – just look at her voting record!  Let’s get Josh to Washington!  Thank you for sharing his website and making sure your friends join you at the polls November 6th!

Johnson County Welcomed State Treasurer Eric Schmitt to Discuss Legislation that Helps Disabled

Missouri State Treasurer Eric Schmitt and State Senator Denny Hoskins hosted a roundtable in Warrensburg at West-Central Independent Living Solutions (WILS) to improve the MO ABLE program.

Launched in 2017, MO ABLE accounts allow individuals with disabilities to save for long term needs while not harming their eligibility for federal means-tested benefits programs.

Currently there is a state tax penalty for rolling over funds from MOST 529 Savings Plans into MO ABLE accounts, even though federal law permits this rollover. Senate Bill 882 would allow MOST 529 account holders to transfer money from a MOST 529 account to a Missouri ABLE account without a tax penalty on money transferred.

This legislation will help expand the MO ABLE program which will allow more opportunity for those living with special needs in Missouri.

We are pleased that our elected are working to improve the lives of Johnson County citizens!

JCRCC Summer Barbecue

Many thanks to The Houx Family for hosting our annual picnic September 17th, 2017.  A wonderful meal was highlighted by updates from our office holders who spoke about the objectives of the next year and their eagerness to serve our community.  Brandon Phelps also shared an update from the Boling family.  We ask everyone to continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.  Thank you to the Republican Women of Johnson County for providing dishes and to all of you who made it a point to share the delightful evening with us.
